I love a warm drink and when I am feeling caffeine’d out from coffee or tea, I love to have options like this turmeric latte to turn to. In addition to being delicious (and easy), this latte is also full of benefits.
Ingredients
This simple turmeric latte recipe is just milk and a mix of a few pantry spices!
- Milk: If you prefer a dairy-free option, coconut milk, almond milk or your favorite dairy-free milk can be used.
- Turmeric: The star of the show! Turmeric, thanks to the curcumin in it, is full of antioxidants, has anti-inflammatory properties, and is an immune booster.
- Ginger: This spice is also antioxidant-rich and anti-inflammatory.
- Cinnamon
- Black Pepper: In addition to adding a hint of flavor, the black pepper helps your body absorb the benefits of the turmeric.
- Honey: Adding a sweetener like honey or agave syrup is optional, but can make this healthy drink taste like a treat!
You will also need a saucepan and your favorite coffee cup!
How to Make a Turmeric Latte
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
- Simmer for 5 minutes.
Bonus! Use a milk frother to froth up the milk for an extra treat.
