Ingredients

  • Rolled Oats: Rolled oats or old-fashioned oats hold their shape better and have a better texture. You can use quick oats in a pinch but they may turn mushy. Or for a spin on this recipe, try baked quinoa!
  • Milk: Use your favorite milk. Non-dairy milks work well in this recipe!
  • Brown Sugar: You can reduce if you prefer your baked oatmeal less sweet or are trying to reduce sugar for little ones.
  • Butter
  • Eggs: Adds protein and helps bind the oat together.
  • Cinnamon
  • Vanilla
  • Baking Powder
  • Salt

You will also need a mixing bowl and a 9 x 9-inch baking pan to make this oatmeal bake.

Baked Oatmeal Variations

  • chocolate chips & slices of banana
  • a swirl of peanut butter
  • apple chunks
  • a sprinkle of berries like blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries

How to Make Baked Oatmeal

  1. Mix everything together.
  2. Spread in baking pan.
  3. Bake per recipe below!

Ayla’s Tip: Bake right away once you’ve mixed together. The longer the mixture sits before baking the more milk the oats will soak up and risk becoming mushy.

That’s it! In just a few simple steps breakfast will be on the table.
