One of my favorite beverages of all times is a homemade chai tea latte. With so much depth of flavor and warmth, it is my go to fall drink. I seem to shy away from it in the summer because to me it is just not the same iced. So as soon as that temperature starts to dip, you bet you’ll be able to find me with a chai tea latte in hand.

The base of what makes a chai tea latte so delicious is a blend of five spices. And I thought to myself, if I’m blending together these spices for a latte I could also use them to make delicious fall infused foods. I’m thinking cookies, quick breads, muffins… But for starters I made this oatmeal and let me tell you… YUM!

Oatmeal has always been one of my favorite breakfast foods. It is hearty, filling, healthy, and there are so many different flavor combinations (like my chunky monkey oatmeal or my overnight coconut milk oats) that it never gets boring!

I decided to try my take on a chai spiced oatmeal and it was SO delicious that I had to share! With the perfect combination of homemade chai spice, pecans, and brown sugar it is the perfectly satisfying breakfast to warm you up on a chilly fall morning!
