Magic bars are a treat sure to delight.
Starting with a buttery graham cracker crust, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, coconut, and pecans are layered and then baked until golden perfection. It’s magic how fast they disappear 😉

Magic Cookie Bars
Magic bars have been one of my favorite sweet treats for as long as I can remember. I’m always looking for an excuse to make these because I can’t keep them in the house, I will definitely eat them all!
- Whether you call them magic bars, magic cookie bars, seven layer bars, or hello dollies, these treats will be delicious all the same!
- Less than 10 minutes of prep!
- Easy to make-ahead and transport making them perfect for potlucks and get-togethers.

Ingredients
- graham cracker crumbs: To make this gluten-free, I have used gluten-free graham cracker crumbs with great success.
- salted butter: I like to use salted butter to give a little balance of salty and sweet. Unsalted butter will work fine too.
- sweetened condensed milk
- chocolate chips: use semisweet chocolate chips to help balance the sweetness of the condensed milk. I do often use 50/50 milk and semisweet because I love milk chocolate chips.
- coconut
- pecans: I love the crunch and flavor of the pecans, but if you need to make these nut-free you can leave them off. You can also swap them for walnuts.
Variations: add some butterscotch chips with the chocolate chips or swap in peanut butter chips. Try sprinkling over some Heath bits.
You will also need a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.

How to Make Magic Bars

- Pour sweetened condensed milk over top.
- Layer on the chocolate chips, coconut, and pecans.

This magic bars recipe is designed to be enjoyed once fully cooled and cut into bars. However, I have enjoyed them straight out of the oven and what a treat! Warm ooey gooeyness!
