The Sweetest Summer Drink
I have had an obsession with lavender recently and this lavender lemonade is one of my favorite ways to enjoy it. I visited a lavender farm with a couple of my besties and got some culinary dried lavender and it is so perfect to use in this recipe.
- The perfect refreshing and thirst-quenching summer beverage.
- A delightful twist on a summertime classic.
- Surprisingly easy to make and only a few minutes of hands-on time.
- An elegant and fun option to serve to guests.
Ingredients
- lavender: ensure that the lavender flowers you use are culinary-grade and suitable for consumption.
- sugar: adjust the amount of sugar based on your desired level of sweetness.
- lemon juice: freshly squeezed lemon juice is best in this recipe. You will need approximately 6-8 lemons depending on how juicy they are!
- water: add more or less water to your liking. Try using sparkling water instead of still for a fun twist.
Variations: there are lots of ways to switch this up. Swap the lavender simple syrup for rosemary simple syrup. Turn it into blueberry lavender lemonade by muddling in some blueberries or try adding fresh mint leaves. Make it a lavender lemonade cocktail by adding vodka. Try making the simple syrup with honey. I love the simple, natural beautiful color, but add purple food coloring for a more vibrant fun drink.
You will also need a saucepan for the simple syrup, a fine mesh strainer to remove the lavender, a lemon juicer to make squeezing the lemon juice easier, and a beautiful pitcher to serve it in.
How to Make Lavender Lemonade
This recipe is really so simple and yet so impressive!

- Mix together lavender simple syrup, lemon juice, water, and ice.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
To uplevel the presentation when serving, add a few sprigs of fresh lavender.
Tips for the Perfect Lavender Lemonade
Rubbing the dried lavender flowers with sugar helps release the essential oils to get the most out of the lavender.
Make the lavender simple syrup in advance to make preparation a breeze.
Leftovers? Strain off the ice and store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
