Ingredients

  • Ricotta Cheese: Use whole-milk ricotta for the creamiest texture. Low-fat ricotta can be grainy and less rich.
  • Olive Oil
  • Lemon: Divide the lemon. The juice goes in the ricotta mixture and the zest is for topping!
  • Salt
  • Honey: I love the balance of sweet with the savory ricotta, but feel free to leave it off if you prefer.
  • Herbs: Fresh herbs (like thyme, basil, or chives) add a burst of freshness and aroma but are optional.

You will also need a food processor.

How to Make Whipped Ricotta

Whipped ricotta with honey is the easiest, yet elegant, dish to serve.

  1. Add ricotta, olive oil, lemon, and salt to a food processor. Blend until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Transfer to a bowl and drizzle with honey, lemon zest, and fresh herbs.

Serve with a toasted baguette or crackers. Or use it as a whipped ricotta dip with your favorite veggies for a healthy high-protein snack.
