Homemade Peach Iced Tea
I love fresh peaches and look forward to when they come in every season. They always come in season in the heat of summer during a scorching August.
This iced tea recipe is the best way to beat the heat with this sweet and juicy fruit.
Skip the store-bought drink with this peach iced tea recipe.
Just 3 Ingredients
- Sugar: This recipe uses granulated sugar to make the peach syrup.
- Peach: Be sure to use a ripe peach for the best flavor! If your peach is on the smaller side, or you want your tea to be really peachy, use 2 fresh peaches.
- Tea: Like a traditional sweet tea, this iced tea uses black tea. Try swapping it for green tea! Add more or less water or tea depending on how strong you like your iced tea.
Variations: There are so many ways you can switch this iced peach tea up based on what you have available! Try adding mint leaves or a squeeze of a lemon wedge. Or add the peach syrup to homemade lemonade instead of tea.
You will also need a saucepan, fine mesh strainer, and serving pitcher.
How to Make Peach Iced Tea
- Prepare the peach simple syrup.
- Steep tea.
- Allow syrup and tea to cool. Combine and serve over ice.
PRO TIP! Instead of using ice in serving glasses, pour cooled tea over frozen peaches!
To make single servings of the iced tea or if you want guests to be able to customize to their liking, keep the steeped tea and simple syrup separate. When ready to serve, pour tea over ice and add the desired amount of peach syrup.

Peach Iced Tea
Equipment
- saucepan
- fine mesh strainer
Ingredients
Peach Syrup
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup water
- 1 medium peach thinly sliced
Iced Tea
- 3 black tea bags
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, add sugar, ½ cup water, and thinly sliced peaches.
- Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- In the meantime, bring 4 cups of water to boil. Add tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and allow to cool.
- Once peach syrup has cooled, strain through a fine mesh strainer gently pressing on the peaches to get all the flavor.
- After peach syrup and steeped tea have cooled, fill a pitcher with ice. Pour steeped tea over ice and add peach syrup to taste.
