The Best Chip Dip
Homemade dill pickle chip dip has become my ultimate party snack… The only issue is I like it so much it often doesn’t make it to the party. I think part of the reason I started growing dill in my garden was so I had more reasons to make this dip!
- Only 4 ingredients and 5 minutes of prep.
- This dill pickle dip is so good and easy you will never want to buy store-bought pickle dip again!
- It’s great when made ahead of time which makes it perfect for a party or BBQ.
- This dip is my go-to chip dip, but also great served with vegetables.
Ingredients & Variations
Pickles: Pickles are the star of the show in this dish. Use your favorite pickle in this recipe, mine are extra garlic dill pickles!
Dill: I use fresh dill (from my garden if possible!) to maximize flavor in this recipe. Dried dill can be used in a pinch by using 1 teaspoon to substitute the 1 tablespoon of fresh!
Cream Cheese: This makes this dip so creamy and delicious. To make this dip a little lighter, use half sour cream and half cream cheese.
How to Make Dill Pickle Dip
Dill pickle dip is so easy to make making it a go to party dip!
- Finely chop pickles and dill.
- Mix pickle juice and softened cream cheese.
- Stir in pickles and dill.
- Chill for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
Tips & Tricks
- When you are mixing pickle juice and softened cream cheese, it’s okay if it doesn’t seem fully mixed before adding pickles and dill. I find it easier to come together after I add the pickles.
- This dip will thicken after refrigerating, so it may seem a little runnier when you first make it.
- You can eat this dip right away, but the flavors will improve if you chill for 30 minutes (it’s so hard to wait, I know!).

Literally the greatest dip of all time! But I highly recommended “accidentally” adding way too many chopped pickles for the chunky dip dreams are made of!

I agree, you can never add too many pickles to this recipe!
