- Make ahead for breakfasts throughout the week for a grab-and-go bite.
- Customize this baked oatmeal recipe with your favorite add-ins.
Ingredients
- Rolled Oats: Rolled oats or old-fashioned oats hold their shape better and have a better texture. You can use quick oats in a pinch but they may turn mushy. Or for a spin on this recipe, try baked quinoa!
- Milk: Use your favorite milk. Non-dairy milks work well in this recipe!
- Brown Sugar: You can reduce if you prefer your baked oatmeal less sweet or are trying to reduce sugar for little ones.
- Butter
- Eggs: Adds protein and helps bind the oat together.
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla
- Baking Powder
- Salt
You will also need a mixing bowl and a 9 x 9-inch baking pan to make this oatmeal bake.
Baked Oatmeal Variations
- chocolate chips & slices of banana
- a swirl of peanut butter
- apple chunks
- a sprinkle of berries like blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries
How to Make Baked Oatmeal
- Mix everything together.
- Spread in baking pan.
- Bake per recipe below!
Ayla’s Tip: Bake right away once you’ve mixed together. The longer the mixture sits before baking the more milk the oats will soak up and risk becoming mushy.
That’s it! In just a few simple steps breakfast will be on the table.
