2CupsOats
½CupChopped Pecans
2TbspBrown Sugar
2TspChai Spice MixtureSee below
1TspVanilla
Almond Milk
Chai Spice Mixture
2TspCinnamon
2TspGinger
½TspCardamom
1TspNutmeg
¼TspClove
Instructions
Prepare Chai Spice Mixture
Mix together all ingredients. Store in an airtight container.
Make Vanilla Chai Spice Oatmeal
Bring 3 1/2 cups of water to a boil. Add in the oats and reduce to a simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
While the oatmeal is cooking, place pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes (or until fragrant and beginning to brown) stirring frequently. Set aside.
Once the oats are cooked, remove pot from the heat and stir in the brown sugar, chai spice mixture, and vanilla.
Divide out oatmeal and top with almond milk (I used vanilla almond milk) and sprinkle with toasted pecans.
