I am so excited to be posting my first plan with me! I am going to walk through how I set up for the month, what works for me, and give you new ideas to set up for your month!
Title Page
I always start my month off with a title page. Something to start off the mood for the month. On the left page I will include a quote. Sometimes the quotes will be inspiring, sometimes they will be funny, sometimes they just give me an opportunity to practice my calligraphy! On the right page I include the month with doodles for whatever theme I have chosen for the month.

For the month of November I have chosen a coffee theme. I have really been on a coffee kick lately and I thought it would be fun to try a theme for it!
A few weeks ago I stumbled across this quote and it has really stuck with me…
“What if I fall? Oh but my Darling, what if you fly”
This really rings true with the season I am in, especially with the launch of my blog! There is no time like the present and you will never be able to succeed if you don’t try!
Monthly Spread and Habit Tracker
My first page in my monthly is always a monthly overview. Sometimes I will do this as a line by line overview or alternatively a calendar style view. After I set up the monthly overview I will fill it in with anything for the month from my future log and I will copy over birthdays from my birthday spread.
The next page will be my habit tracker. I like to experiment layouts to keep it interesting. As the month progresses I will go in and highlight the date I completed the thing I wanted to. Then at the end of the month I can see how I did for the goals I was tracking.
One of my favorite monthly layouts is the line by line as in the above picture. It’s easy to set up and I like minimalistic layouts. To make it easy to visualize I highlight the weekends.
I thought this habit tracker was so cute! Putting the monthly habit trackers in the coffee cups was such a fun way to tie in the theme. I find having each habit as a separate calendar, as opposed to all combined in a grid, is more visual so i find it worth the extra work! However one downside is you can’t fit as many habits as if you made a grid style habit tracker. These will look so cute once I start to fill them out and complete my habits!
Weather Tracker and Gratitude
The next 2 spreads are a weather tracker and a gratitude page. These are both spreads that I like to fill out daily along with my habit tracker.
The weather tracker I think is fun to track and be able to back and see what the weather was like over the last month.
Gratitude page is the last page I fill out every night before I go to bed. I like to have it to force myself to take a moment and reflect on the day and pick out one thing I was grateful for everyday.
Weekly Spread
Lastly when I am setting up a monthly spread I will always complete the first weekly spread for the month! I will switch up the layout but the things I find I like to see every week are:
-Weekly Calendar: Here I will transfer anything I have in the monthly log for the week when I am setting it up. I will put in events, birthdays, holidays, date specific tasks, deadlines, etc.
-Meal Plan: I find it imperative to meal plan every Sunday to keep me on track for the next week. Having it in my weekly spread makes it easy to always know what’s on the plan for the week.
-To Do List: I need somewhere to keep track of all my to do’s. Every week when I set up my to do list I copy over anything from the previous week that wasn’t completed.
-Overview of Monthly Calendar: A quick at a glance monthly calendar in a visual format!
-Water and Sleep Tracker: A place to track daily consumption of water and how much sleep I had the night before. I track these to help keep me on track on having healthier habits!
Well that is my November 2018 monthly theme! Overall this is a more minimalistic theme but I had fun with the calligraphy and love the way it turned out… I can’t wait for my December monthly theme: Christmas!
