I love love. I am a romantic at heart and I love all things Valentine’s. I love the color pink. I love hearts. I love people doing things for their loved ones knowing it is going to make their heart feel full. I especially love watching men picking out flowers to bring home to their significant other, knowing how special it will make them feel.
Now, just to be clear I don’t love Valentine’s as an excuse to buy another gift or the obligation to go out for dinner. I do think Valentine’s in an excuse to be extra romantic and lovey dovey. I love Valentine’s as a reason to bring more love and romance into the world.

So here is a list of cute Valentine’s Day date ideas that are more about bringing you two together than celebrating a holiday!
Valentine’s Day Date Ideas
Ice Skating
Lace up those skates and get out there! You’ll be holding hands, your cheeks will get all rosy, you can rub noses to keep warm… After when you’re cold you can use it as an excuse to cuddle up. Plus you’re getting those endorphins flowing! Ice skating holds a special place in my heart as my husband proposed while skating!
Cook Together
There are a few ways to do this! You could simply find a recipe you want to make together. Or you could do a chopped style challenge where you both make something with certain key ingredients and have a showdown! Bonus points if the food you’re cooking is red and/or heart shaped! (Pizza meets both of these criteria!)
Watch a Movie At Home
… But do more than just watch a movie on the couch! Drag out your mattress to the living room or create a fort and get cozy! Bring some vino and snacks and be snuggled up all night.
Go Bowling
Bring on a little friendly competition and take your hunny bowling. Make a bet on who will win… And make sure to make the prize worth it… 😉
Game Night
A few of our favorites are crib and the card game “golf”. Spice it up a little and make bets on the game. I see no losers in your future 🙂
At Home Spa Night
Start with a face mask, which you can help each other apply. Then you could do at home manis or pedis. Definitely work in a massage for each other with some sensual oils. And finish off with a romantic bath surrounded by candles with a glass of wine.
At Home Wine Tasting
Grab a couple bottles of wine of different styles. Pick up some local vegan cheeses to make a homemade charcuterie. Print off wine tasting notes. Then you can have your own wine tasting party! Have a little more experience in wine tasting or want to spice it up? Have your partner set up a blind test to see if you can determine which sample is which style.
Indoor Picnic
Layout a blanket, light a candle in the middle, and bring some prepped snacks. Enjoy your picnic dinner with your favorite drink. And then after you can clear your blanket and laydown together for a cuddle.
DIY Paint Night
Start by going on youtube and searching “DIY Paint Night at Home”. Choose the painting that you want to paint. Go to the dollar store and pick up 2 canvas’, the colors of paint you need, and some paintbrushes. Come home and follow the youtube video and have a paint off!
Take a Romantic Walk/Hike
Going for a walk or hike is a very simple but romantic date. Leave all your electronics behind, grab your significant others hand, and stroll away. It is uninterrupted you time!
