Easy Summer Treat
- Only 2 ingredients in this homemade popsicle recipe!
- Bananas provide potassium, fiber, and vitamin C while the Greek yogurt adds protein.
- A banana popsicle is a healthier option for kiddos on hot summer days.
- This DIY treat is so easy, it’s perfect to get the kids in the kitchen!
- Naturally gluten-free, no added sugar, and can easily be customized to be vegan.
Ingredients
- bananas: choose a very ripe banana for the best flavor.
- yogurt: you can use any yogurt you have on hand. I like to use vanilla Greek yogurt for a little added protein and to make them extra creamy.
- maple syrup: adding sweetener is optional! If your banana is not quite ripe or you use plain yogurt you may want to add more sweetener. Swap for honey or agave if preferred.
Variations: Make these even more fun by dipping them into chocolate and making chocolate banana popsicles! Once you add chocolate you can sprinkle on sprinkles, crushed nuts, or shredded coconut. Add strawberries to make a strawberry banana popsicle or add a swirl of peanut butter.
You will also need a blender and popsicle mold. I find using a silicone popsicle mold easiest to get the popsicles out.
How to Make Banana Popsicles
- Blend all ingredients until smooth.
- Freeze and enjoy!
These can be kept frozen in an airtight container in the freezer until you are ready to enjoy and for up to 3 months.
